This form requires you to record the depth below sea level (bsl) of the deepest kelp plant (cuvie/<i>Laminaria hyperborea</i>) you encounter; the deepest ‘bushy’ (foliose) brown seaweed; and the deepest foliose red seaweed. Ideally, take a photo* of the seaweed in question with your diving computer beside it. Make sure you also record the GPS position (from the dive boat) and the mid-time of your dive, so that you can subtract the predicted tide height at that time to give your depth below chart datum (bcd). Please submit a separate form for each seaweed type.

* Photo filename must include: subject or species name if known, site name, your name, date (e.g. Cuvie_KnollPins_JohnDoe_2025-06-26)
